The Institute for European Global Studie and the Department of History are pleased to announce an Online-Working Lunch with Trevor Burnard and Giorgio Riello on «Commodities, Slavery & the New History of Capitalism».

In the following weeks we are aiming at returning step by step to our global cooperation in research and teaching, although under the special conditions of social distancing.

Fortunately, Trevor Burnard (University of Hull) and Giorgio Riello (EUI Florence) have agreed to carry out the event originally planned as the next Working Lunch in the format of a Zoom lecture with following discussion.

Therefore we would like to cordially invite you to this online event, organized in cooperation with the Institute for European Global Studies.

The event will be live-streamed on Zoom on April 8, 2020, from 2:00-4:00pm. You are cordially invited to join us online: https://unibas.zoom.us/j/948709395
