DESCRIPTION:Deutsch: Als Historiker:innen in einem digitalen Zeitalter arbe
 iten wir alle mit digitalen Werkzeugen – oft ohne es uns bewusst zu mach
 en oder deren volles Potenzial auszuschöpfen. Der Kurs zeigt Doktorierend
 en die unterschiedlichen Möglichkeiten und Potenziale des Arbeitens mit d
 igitalen Tools auf. Er schärft das Bewusstsein\, dass diese Werkzeuge nur
  in Kombination mit wissenschaftlichen Methoden und Fragestellungen produk
 tiv eingesetzt werden können und vermittelt entsprechende Kompetenzen. Gl
 eichzeitig sollen Grundlagen der Datenerhebung\, -aufbereitung und -speich
 erung vermittelt werden\, für qualitatives ebenso wie für quantitatives 
 Arbeiten mit Quellen und Daten. \\r\\nAnmeldung über das Vorlesungsverze
 ichnis.\\r\\n-\\r\\nEnglish: As historians in a digital age\, we all work 
 with digital tools - often without being aware of it or realizing their fu
 ll potential. The course shows PhD students the different possibilities an
 d potentials of working with digital tools. It raises awareness that these
  tools can only be used productively in combination with scientific method
 s and questions\, and teaches the corresponding skills. At the same time\,
  the fundamentals of data collection\, processing and storage will be taug
 ht\, for qualitative as well as quantitative work with sources and data.
