DESCRIPTION:The second Basel History Factory [https://dg.philhist.unibas.ch
 /de/aktuelles/basel-history-factory/] invites doctoral students\, postdocs
 \, and professors from the Department of History to meet intellectually an
 d socially at the Ostquai in Basel’s harbor district. We are honoured to
  welcome Lorraine Daston\, the distinguished scholar of the history and ph
 ilosophy of science\, who will be giving a keynote. Before the lecture\, w
 e will spend the afternoon in small-group workshops focusing on methodolog
 ical discussions and providing insights into ongoing research at the depar
 tment. We will conclude the day with our customary Semester Opening Apéro
 \, accompanied by music. \\r\\nOrganised by Nadine Amsler\, Laura Rischbi
 eter\, Rodica Schmidinger\, Christina Panizzon Gabriel Mosimann and Mirjam
