In 2009 graduated from Perm State University, Department of History and Political Science, "specialist" in russian History. From 2009 to 2012 studied at the PhD program of the History Department of the European University at Saint Petersburg.

In 2014 defended dissertation titled "The Left Opposition in RCP(b), 1923-1924" at the Saint Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

From 2012 – research fellow at the Center for Comparative History and Politics Studies and lecturer at the History Department of Perm State National Research University.



The current project explores the formation and perception of the political cult of Leon Trotsky during the full-scale Civil War on the territory of the former Russian Empire (1918–1921). The key research question is what was special about the way the leader’s cult was formed in the context of the Revolution and the Civil War.
